| Abstract: | In this paper, the optimum design of crankshaft fillets by means of finite element and mathematical programming methods is discussed. The crankshaft of CA6102Q gasoline engine has been taken as an example to be calculated by the recommended methods. The optimized results thus obtained show that the maximum stresses in crankshaft fillets have been considerably reduced, so the recommended methods for optimum design are very effective. |
