武昌文华大学建筑风格研究

武昌文华大学是美国圣公会在湖北近代兴建最早的、规模最大的教会大学,该文主要研究现存于湖北中医药大学昙华林校区内的文华大学时期的五座建筑,从而勾勒出文华大学校园建筑昔日的风貌,同时探究建筑风格形成的原因,并进一步思考20世纪10~20年代华中地区教会大学校园建筑所具有的历史位置与艺术价值。

The Study on Architectural Style of the Boone Memorial University in Wuchang

The Boone Memorial University in Wuchang was created by American Church Mission in recent period, it was the earliest and largest Christian university in Hubei area. This paper mainly studies the five buildings which were built during the period of the Boone Memorial University, and nowadays the five buildings still exist in Tanhualin campus of Hubei University of Chinese Medicine. The research includes architectural style and formation reasons, and we also need think the historical position and artistic value of the buildings in Christian university campus in central China.
