Application of GIS in information management system for taxi safety

The current management information systems of taxi are based on the general business database, which cannot watch directly or make decision visually. A new technique is in dire need of promoting the system function. Aiming at this circumstance, GIS (Geographical information system) technique is led into the taxi safety management information system. From the angle of the development, it is expatiated in detail that some related techniques, methods, functions and optimizing etc. As what has been proved, it is possible and efficient to introduce GIS into the system. The improved system can show dynamic and real-time taxi information perfectly. Visual taxi information keeps view for policemen, which is beneficial to improve management.
