| Abstract: | Channelled substrate narrow stripe GaAs/(GaAl)As lasers with quarter-wavelength antireflection coatings are described. These devices have low thresholds, broad spectra, high external quantum efficiencies and operate up to 10 mW in the fundamental transverse mode. |
