| 摘 要： | 作为语言修辞手段之一的隐喻不仅是一种思维方式,更是一种认知现象,是人类语言的共有现象,在人们的日常生活中无处不在。隐喻在语言中具有不可替代的作用,作为英语语言精华的习语也蕴含着大量的隐喻。因此,把概念隐喻理论和英语习语教学结合起来,研究习语中的隐喻具有重要的价值,对学习者了解英语习语的历史和文化内涵,提高学习者的认知能力、语言思维能力及交际能力都有重要作用。

| Abstract: | Metaphor is not only a rhetoric device,but a matter of thought and action and a cognitive phenomenon,existing everywhere in people’s daily life.English idioms are the essence of the English laguage in which metaphor plays a very important role.This paper attempts to apply the conceptual metaphor theory to English idioms teaching practice to help the learners know the history and cultural content of English idioms and to improve the learners’ cognitive and communicative abilities,thus developing students’ comprehensive ability of using English. |
