| Abstract: | The paper gives a detail introduction to wiring .test and under - excitation operation condition for the under excitation operation test of No. 3 generating unit of the Longtan hydropower plant. The analyses of the test results indicate that the under - excitation operation is feasible for a large water turbine -generator unit to increase the extent of voltage regulation of the power system and improve the grid voltage quality. |
