摘    要:对一起500 kV金属氧化物避雷器故障进行了分析,发现故障是由于避雷器在遭受多重雷击时吸收了大于其耐受能力的雷电冲击过电压能量引起热崩溃所致。针对此次故障,提出了正确选择避雷器、开展防雷校核工作和加强运行检测三点改进措施,以提高避雷器的运行维护水平。

Abstract:A fault of 500 kV Metal oxide surge arrester is analyzed in this paper.The fault is due to thermal runaway of the MOA when the absorption overvoltage energy greater than that of its tolerance ability which caused by multiple lightning strikes.According to this fault,three improvement measures(correctly select the MOA,checking lightning protection,strengthening the operation and detection) are presented,so as to improve and enhance operation and maintenance situation of the MOA.
