Single channel blind separation algorithm based on singular value decomposition of wavelet components

Aiming at the problem of prior information deficiency in single channel blind separation field,a novel method based on wavelet transformation,singular value decomposition(SVD) and independent component analysis(ICA) is proposed.Firstly the wavelet decomposition and reconstruction is applied on the single channel mixed signal and a set of detail signals which represents the feature of source signals are obtained.Then SVD is adopted on this set of signals and values,which is less than threshold,is rejected.Therefore,the influence of interference wave and noise can be removed.After that,this set of disposed detail signals is viewed as input signals of ICA algorithm,and the source signals can be successfully recovered.The validation of the proposed method is performed with extensive experiments on toy and real-life datasets respectively.The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm does not require any prior infor-mation and has strong robustness.Meanwhile,it can reach favorable separation performance in a fast speed.
