| Abstract: | The Integrated Recycle Heat Exchanger (INTREX? is a fluidized bed heat exchanger. It uses a non-mechanical means for regulating the rate of solids flow through the heat exchanger to control the furnace temperature or steam temperature. The process and mechanical design features of INTREX?configurations are described. Applications for both atmospheric and pressurized circulating fluidized bed boilers are discussed. |
