| Abstract: | Abstract Colombia has an excellent and infinite potential for sericulture industry development, based on the advantages presented by the following three major factors: favorable agro-climatic conditions, socio-economic conditions and availability of superior genetic resources. Colombia is able to cooperate with other Latin American countries, supplying them with silkworm hybrids eggs due to the availability of useful genetic resources/breeding technology in CDTS. Colombia can also develop R&D activities for the region and give training and technological transfer in sericulture. |
