Abstract:The SBS thermoplastic elastomer was melted to react with maleic anhydride(MAH), methacrylate (MMA), and the mixture of MAH and MMA respectively to improve SBS adhesion strength to metal. The results show that adhesion strength to aluminium foils of SBS adhesives modified by melting reaction with the mixture of MAH andMMA is stronger than those of SBS modified by MAH or MMA respectively, besides the melting reaction has notable effect on the formation of microphase segregation structure of SBS.
