The necessity of using anti-microorganism agent in papermaking system, the classification of anti-microorganism agents, the functioning mechanism of the anti-microorganism agents, the principle of selecting the anti-microorganism agents, the factors which should be considered to determined the adding spot and the adding dosage were introduced. The quantity index of the microorganisms which should be controlled and the issues which should be paid more attention to in using the anti-microorganisms agent in papermaking system were discussed.
