Abstract:According to the generalized rapids flume experiment, the hydraulic characteristics including the distribution and streamwise variation of velocity and water level are analyzed. The relationship between rapids' hydraulic characteristics and topography, and main factors affecting the rapids are illuminated, and determination methods of the coefficient of local resistance in calculation of the water surface line of the rapids are discussed.
