以丙纶扁带为原料，通过改装Y331型纱线捻度仪进行加捻，使其具有纱线的特征，用小样织机试织了方格、蜂巢、配色模纹组织的织物。研究发现宽为10mm的扁带加捻到捻度为100时，其断裂强力增加了约四分之一．其断裂伸长率和断裂时间约增加约一倍，但是捻带容易退捻、定捻较为困难；扁带织物多较为粗犷、硬挺、厚实，具有强烈的千见觉风格，适用于装饰织物。丙纶扁带的试织论证了扁带织物开发的可行性，为扁带织物产品的开发给予一定的指导意义。
