| Abstract: | This paper describes the evolution of oxygen steelmaking in Germany. The present state of hot metal pretreatment, combined blowing and secondary metallurgy in German BOF works is presented.Finally, selective applications of refining technology in the production of steels for ensuring stringent quality demands are introduced. |
