聚合物光纤端面处理与连接损耗的研究

摘    要:本文用光线追迹法研究了聚合物光纤(POF)端面形状与连接损耗的关系。计算了光纤端面为平面、凸球面和凹球面时由于横向偏移和端面间隙所产生的连接损耗。计算结果表明,当光纤单向工作且端面间隙不大时,出射端为凸球面、接收端为凹球面的连接方式比光纤出射端和接收端都是平面的连接方式的损耗要小。

Abstract:The relationship between the shape of the connecting interface of Polymer Optical Fiber (POF) and the connecting loss is studied based on the ray tracing method. In this paper, the connecting loss caused by the longitudinal misalignment and the lateral misalignment is calculated, in case that the ending face are plane, convex and concave respectively. When the POF is used for one direction of transmission and the longitudinal misalignment is relatively small, the calculating results show that convex emitting end and concave receiving end has the smallest connecting loss.(<0.3 dB)
