汉字字体类型与字体结构的易读性研究

目的探讨不同字体的易读性情况,为字体设计提供实证支持。方法实验采用8×5的被试内设计,研究字体类型和字体结构对汉字识别速度的影响。结果方正黑体、方正兰亭黑等无衬线字体的识别效果要好于宋体及其变式等衬线体;字体类型对汉字识别的效应还受到字体结构的影响,在全包围、半包围、独体和上下结构上,字体类型的作用更显著。结论在汉字识别的过程中,人们是以整字为单位进行加工的,而不考虑字的具体笔画和部件。字型的扁方设计、笔画的适当加粗以及大字面的字体设计有利于汉字的识别。

The Legibility Research of Chinese Font and Font Structure

Objective To the legibility of different fonts,providing empricial evidence for font design.Methods A within-subjects design of 8 × 5 is used to investigate the effect of font and font structure to the recognition rate of Chinese characters.Results The results indicated that recognition speed of sans serif font such as Bold founder and Lanting black is faster than serif font,but this influence is also affected by font structure,the influence of font is more significant in full-cover,half-cover,single and up-down structure.Founder weibei and boyasong＇s improvement in shape,strokes and surface make up the adverse effect of serif font.The results provides empirical support of the design of Chinese fonts.Conclusion the processing unit of identification of chinese characcters is the whole word,without regard of strokes and compoments.flat square,properly bold and big typeface of word in font disign is easier for recognition.
