Abstract: | Removal of Cs and Sr radionuclides from aqueous media by sorption onto magnetic potassium zinc hexacyanoferrate(II) was studied. This magnetic sorbent is more efficient and selective in sorption of Cs radionuclides, compared to Sr radionuclides, in a wide pH range, 2.8–9.0. The performance of magnetic potassium hexacyanoferrate(II) in removal of Cs and Sr radionuclides is mainly determined by the kind and concentration of macrocomponents (Na+, K+, Ca2+) of natural waters and liquid radioactive waste. |
