阳离子淀粉改性PCC填料及其应用研究

摘    要:采用阳离子淀粉对轻质碳酸钙(以下简称PCC)进行改性,研究了阳离子淀粉用量、温度、时间和搅拌速度对改性效果的影响。通过单因素实验结果确定出最佳改性条件:阳离子淀粉用量30%(相对于PCC质量),温度90℃,改性时间60min,搅拌速度为500r/min。对改性PCC进行SEM表征,证明了阳离子淀粉成功地包覆在PCC表面。同时进一步研究改性PCC和未改性PCC对纸张抗张强度、撕裂强度性能的影响。结果表明,在相同加填条件下,加填改性PCC的纸张抗张强度、撕裂强度性能优于加填未改性PCC的以及PCC和淀粉分别加填的。

Abstract:This paper aimed at precipitated calcium carbonate(hereinafter referred to as PCC) modification with cationic starch, and the effects of cationic starch dosage, temperature, reaction time and agitating speed on modif ication results. The suitable modif ication conditions were decided through single factor experiments. Cationic starch dosage 30%(quality relative to PCC), temperature 90℃, modification time 60 min, and agitating speed 500 r/min were proved to be the best modification conditions. The SEM characterization of the modified PCC proved that the PCC surface is successively coated with cationic starch. Meanwhile the effects of modified and unmodified PCC on the paper tensile strength and tear strength properties were compared. The experimental results showed that under the same papermaking conditions, the tensile strength and tear strength properties of the paper filled with the modified PCC are quite better than those filled with the unmodified PCC or PCC and starch added separately.
