| Abstract: | It has been shown that the maximum interaction between turbulent flow and a viscoelastic coating is observed when the coating thickness is equal to one quarter of the wavelength of the longitudinal deformation of the coating surface. The amplitudes of the longitudinal and lateral deformations are equal, which must be taken into account in analyzing the mechanism of operation of a compliant coating. |
