Abstract:The use of a mixed-peroxyacid solution pretreatment and non-chlorine bleaching processes to produce the bleached poplar kraft pulp is studied.The results show that the lignin content of poplar KP (kappa number 23.1,viscosity 1265ml/g and ISO brightness 35.4%)can be decreased by 39.8% and 55.8% by mixed-peroxyacid(Pxa) pretreatment(0.4% active oxygen content )and the subsequent oxygen delignification respectively,and the related pulp brightness is 42.8%(ISO) and 55.3%(ISO).The mixed-peroxyacid pretreatment can improve the delignification selectivity in oxygen bleaching stage.The pulp which is pretreated with Pxa and bleached with oxygen can be bleached to higher brightness by short-sequence ECF and TCF.For example,the pulp with 85.7% ISO brightness can be obtained by DEpP Sequence.The physical properties of a various of pulps are also researched.
