| Abstract: | This paper deals with the design of a new duplex stainless steel(Named R1 alloy)and its structure and corrosion and erosion resistances.The results obtained from anodic polarization and immersion test show that the corrosion rate of R1 alloy is smaller than that of CAA725M alloy,which is a kind of high alloyed austenitic stainless steel in phosphoric acid solutions containing Cl-,F-,and the former is more pitting resistant than the latter.In phosphoric acid slurry,the erosion resistance of R1 alloy is also better than CA-A725M alloy. |
