Analysis of DVD Optic Head Server Signal

This article analyzes the effect of coma to the shape of spot on detector in DVD optic head system that focusing server signal is acquired by the method of astigmatism, mainly discusses the signal analyses of focusing error signal and tracking error signal, and presents corresponding test results. At last, it points out the defocus range of focusing server and criterion for judgment of whether the grating is adjusted to the proper position in practical operation.
