浅议无锡新体育馆英语标识的译文

就新落成的无锡体育馆的英文标识，指出其多处误译、死译和不符合英语语言习惯的地方．进而分析了公共标识英文翻译中的原文和目的文的指称、意义与质量的相互关系，总结了产生种种汉语式译文的原因，提出了纠正这些译文错误、提高英文公共标识质量的方法和措施。

Aspects on Translated Terms of Public Signs in Wuxi Stadium

This paper has briefly discussed the relationship between denotation, meaning and quality of public signs in source language and those in target language during the process of translation with reference to some of the translated terms of public signs in Wuxi Stadium. The causes of the incorrect and mechanical translation of these public signs have been explored and the corresponding methods to improve the public signs translation have been introduced in this paper.
