| Abstract: | A review was given about the progress of research on corrosion and protection of seabed pipelines. It was pointed out that corrosion was a major threat to the seabed pipelines as offshore transportation arteries of oil and gas, and it was imperative to effectively prevent them from ocean corrosion. Moreover, the classification of corrosion, corrosion mechanisms and main measures for preventing corrosion of seabed pipelines were introduced, and the development trend of the technology for preventing seabed pipelines from corrosion was prospected. |
