| Abstract: | A closed-form upper bound on the average error probability is proposed for random block codes operating in multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. The bound exponentially decays to zero with increasing block length, and the obtained error exponent proves consistent with Gallager's random coding exponent and the information-theoretic channel capacity. |
