| Abstract: | This paperdiscusses the relationship of urban planning design and preservation of historical and cultural cities. Based on the experience, the main strategy of this problem is to establish a valid coordination between the modern city construction and the historic city conservation based on the scientific urban planning, then it provides constructive suggestions on conservation of historic cities. |
