Parameter optimization and data model construction of spiral mixer based on discrete element method

In order to investigate the random motion and mixing characteristics of brown rice particles in the spiral mixer,the mixing motion trajectory of brown rice particles was simulated by DEM and experiment.The particle motion law and mixing characteristics of the particles were analyzed respectively from the random motion of single particles and mixed motion of particle groups.The effect of rotating speed of the spiral mixer blades and filling quantity on particle mixing degree was described,respectively,the simulation data was analyzed using SigmaPlot software,and mathematical models of speed,filling amount and variation coefficient were built,respectively.The results show that the brown rice particles were uniformly mixed in all directions in the stirring bin and the mixing motion was very intense,and the motion in radial and axial direction was most intense.With the increase of rotational speed,the mixing degree of brown rice particles in the spiral mixer increased.This study reduced the spiral mixer energy loss in the actual production process,improved the mixing efficiency of the brown rice,saved energy,improved working efficiency of the spiral mixer,thus has important research value.
