| Abstract: | Pyruvate dehydrogenase complexes of bacterial origin are compared with respect to subunit composition, organization of the corresponding genes, and the number and location of lipoyl domains. Special attention is given to two unusual examples of pyruvate dehydrogenase complexes, formed by Zymomonas mobilis and Thiobacillus ferrooxidans. |
