Studies on Synthesis andPerformances of Chromium-doped Lithium Manganese Dioxide |

Abstract: | Chromium-doped lithium manganese oxidesLiCrxMn2-xO4(x=0,0.03,0.16)were prepared by solid-state reaction method and some physical and chemical performances of the products were studied. The oxidation states of manganese in the products decreased with increasing the doped amount of chromium. All the products had a spinel structure. The lattice parameter of the product with x=0.03(a=8.234Å)was almost the same as that of the product without chromium (a=8.235Å),but that of the product with x=0.16 was lower (a=8.223Å). The cycling stability of the products increased with the doped amount of chromium, with the capacity fade of 34.5,17.5,4.2%, for x=0,0.03,0.16 respectively. However, the first capacity decreased rapidly, 97.9,94.5,73.2 mA.h/g for x=0,0.03,0.16 respectively. |
