摘    要:DCOM是COM技术的扩展,为在局域网,广域网,甚至Internet上建立分布式应用提供了标准。文章结合作者参与的项目VHDrawing(NetworkVersion),讨论了采用DCOM构架设计应用服务器,运用并行配置,关键组件分离等技术实现可扩展性,以及通过指示器及其选择算法实现服务器多复本之间的动态负载平衡等问题。

Abstract:DCOM extends the Component Object Model(COM)to support communication among objects on different computers on a LAN,a WAN,or even the Internet.This paper discusses how to implement the extensibility of an appli-cation server based on the DCOM architecture using the techniques such as parallel deployment and isolating critical components.The implementation of load balancing among the servers through the referral component and its dynamic load-balancing algorithm is also discussed.
