Discussing on the Digital Strategies of Landscape Architecture Planning and Design

Today,with the increasing complexity of human settlement system,and the deteriorating of environment,the subject of landscape architecture is undertaking heavier duty than before.However,for various reasons,the digital processing of landscape architecture design has been behind the times.This article discusses the dilemma and the latest developments of landscape architecture design in digital times,and argues that the digitalization is the only proceeding way for landscape architecture design in the future,in order to have a scientific,objective and rational cognition,the ability to analyze environment,and the ability of systematic and information-based design and expression.On this basis,the paper analyzes the meaning and content of digital strategy of landscape architecture design and proposes the outline of it,discussing major digital methods and techniques,application models and development direction.Meanwhile,the paper also points out the limitations and misunderstandings that exist in digital strategy and problems that must to be solved.
