城市历史景观的概念及其与文化景观的联系

2011年11月10日联合国教科文组织大会采纳了一项新的国际文书——"城市历史景观"的新建议,以帮助实现城市保护驱动下的城市发展控制。解释了"城市历史景观"的概念及其与文化景观的关系,以文化景观的创新视角阐述了对于活态城市的理解和诠释,指出其实质是借用文化景观概念和方法管理活态城市的各动态关系和脉络,总结了一系列应用此概念的实践重点,如"城市历史景观方法"以及战略框架中的研究领域,旨在提高认识,在研究和实践中提升中国城市环境的质量。

The Concept of Historic Urban Landscape (HUL) and Its Relation to Cultural Landscape

On 10 November 2011 UNESCO’s General Conference adopted a new international instrument to assist in achieving conservation-driven urban development control: the new Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape. This paper explains the concept of the Historic Urban Landscape, which is to be understood as an innovative way to look at and to understand living cities in a similar fashion as understanding and interpreting Cultural Landscapes–in fact, the paper outlines the close relationship with and a borrowing of ideas from the cultural landscape discipline in managing the dynamic context of living cities. The paper concludes with a set of practical points for the application of the concept, i.e. the Historic Urban landscape Approach, and additional fields of research as part of a strategic framework that aims to increase understanding of and undertake work in sustaining and enhancing the quality of the urban environment in China.
