Abstract:Although lots of progresses have been made up to now, it is not very clear in the understanding of emission mechanisms about carbon nanotubes(CNTs). This paper summarizes the results about emission mechanisms of CNTs during the past 10 years, including issues of field emission energy distribution (FEED), work function, emission models and emission stability.
