An approximate solution of the annular crack problem

A method is presented for the approximate solution of the axisymmetric problem of an annular crack Embedded in an infinite elastic solid and subjected to a normal internal pressure. The numerical results Obtained for the stress intensity factors are in good agreement with those obtained by Smetanin².
