Optimum distribution of concrete in a double hollow concrete slab

In this paper we have investigated the optimum distribution of concrete thickness (keeping the total thickness constant) in a double hollow concret slab for achieving the best load levelling of thermal flux; it is seen that for a given total thickness of concrete, this is achieved when the thicknesses of the outer and inner layers of the concrete are least (consistent with structural considerations).
