Prefabricated Accessories for HV Cross-linked Polyethylene Insulated Cables

This paper describes the classification of electric cable fittings and the structure of prefabricated cable fittings.By analyzing the electric field distribution of HV cross-linked polyethylene insulated cable(XLPE cable) and its accessories,it elaborates on the optimization design scheme of prefabricated cable accessories,presents the formula of stress cone curve,and introduces the manufacturing process of prefabricated accessories.It is also indicated that to ensure the efficient application of prefabricated accessories to XLPE cables,great attention should be paid to the selection of material and installation procedures such as insulation layer peeling,surface grinding,transition surface treatment,and insulation surface daubing with silicon grease.
