从IPv4到IPv6演进策略的研究与分析

IPv6和IPv4比较,它彻底解决了地址空间耗尽和路由表爆炸等问题,而且为IP协议注入了新的内容,使支持安全、主机移动及多媒体成为IP协议的有机组成部分.协议的设计使路由器处理报文更加简便,扩展性也更好.但是如何完成从IPv4到IPv6的转换是IPv6发展需要解决的第一个问题.现有的几乎每个网络及其连接设备都支持IPv4,因此要想很快完成从IPv4到IPv6的转换是不切实际的.IPv6必须能够支持和处理IPv4体系的遗留问题.本文对于从IPv4到IPv6网络的过渡问题进行了策略性的研究与分析,并从运营的角度对于不同的演进策略进行了优缺点和应用环境的分析,同时对于由此而带来的路由器进化问题进行了相关的阐述.

Research and Analysis on the Evolution Strategy from IPv4 to IPv6

Compared with IPv4, IPv6 resolves many problems, such as exhausting of address space and exploding of routing table. Whats more, IPv6 adds new features to IP ,security, host mobility and multimedia becoming organic parts of it. The design of IPv6 facilitates the packet processing and has good extension. But the first problem we will face is the transformation from IPv4 to IPv6. Now almost every network and device supports IPv4, so it is not practical to finish the transformation in a short time. IPv6 has to resolve the problems left by IPv4 architecture. This paper researches and analyses the strategy of transformation from IPv4 to IPv6. And it discusses the advantage and disadvantage of the strategy from the point of the operator. Whats more, the issues about evolution of routers are addressed.
