On the basis of the introduction about the process of harde ned gear machining,thisarticle analyses the questions which exist in carbide skiving hob,and introduces two new typesof laminated and worm type skiving hobs.The supplemental machining methods for hardenedgear can be achieved by using the worm type lapping wheel to lap gears or worm typehoning wheel to hone gears. The charactoristics of this process are economy and highefficiency.
