Abstract:A new type of centrifugal fan is presented in order to extend their operating conditions to the range of higher pressure ratio and lower flow rate. Preliminary experiments show a good tendency. Compared to the conventional centrifugal fan with the same imprller and the same speed, the flow rate at the design point of the new type fan decreases by 80-90% and the total pressure increases by 65%.
