纵谈"非典"病名的标准化和统一化

最近在世界流行一种新型的肺炎,对其的名称却十分混乱。作者认为“非典型肺炎”一词虽未指明病原体,但是一个准确的类称。音译不可取。汉语构词能力很强,不应原封不动地直接引用外文词。对新概念应当命名而非译名。最好根据病原体、发病部位、病理性质称之为“冠状病毒肺炎”(简称冠毒肺炎)。

Standardization and Unification for Name of Atypical Pneumonia

There is a confusion regarding the names for a new type of pneumonia recently prevalent the world over. The author holds that the term "atypical pneumonia" is a correct class noun even though it fails to identify the pathogen. Transliteration and direct introduction of foreign terms, especially for Han language strong in word-building, in their original forms are not good solutions. Naming is better than translation for a new concept. In the light of its pathogen, affected organ, and pathology this disease can be named as coronovirus pneumionia.
