Abstract:Hybrid polymer membranes of sulfonated polyetheretherketone (SPEEK) and polybenzimidazole (PBI) have been separately prepared by ordinary mixing and mixing in situ. The osmosis is determined by gas chromatography (GC). The proportional distribution of SPEEK and PBI in the membrane have been observed and charactered by IR Microscope. The results show that the membrane by in situ has gotten the salt structure, while it has not gotten by ordinary mixing. Moreover whatever preparation by ordinary mixing and mixing in situ, the methanol permeation of the membranes are lower than that of Nafion117.
