| Abstract: | The main criteria to be taken into account when specifying the main blower for a modern acid plant are outlined. The compromise between operational cost and capital cost and the effect on competitiveness of the plant are discussed. It is proposed to construct the blower in a nigged design and a maintenance-friendly manner. |
