| Abstract: | Bulk propylene polymerization is carried out in a tubular loop reactor system with jacket water cooling. The effects of the inlet temperature of cooling water on temperature in the reator and on the amount requirement of fresh water were found by solving a set of differential equations developed from the material and energy balances for the process. Finally the correlation equations representing their dependence were obtained and the calculation results fitted in with the data collected in Qilu Petrochemical Co. |
