Abstract:In recent years,multicrystalline silicon PERC(passivated emitter and rear cell)solar cell has been developed rapidly due to its low cost and high efficiency,but its performance decreases seriously after long time illumination and there has been no effective solution in the industry. In order to minimize the phenomenon,the influence of sintering curve on light induced degradation effect of multicrystalline silicon PERC solar cells was studied in this paper. Basied on conventional sintering curve 1,the optimized sintering curve 2 and 3 were designed by changing the position of peak temperature of the sintering curve. Then doubly deposited Al2O3/SiNx lifetime samples and multicrystalline silicon PERC cells were fired by different sintering curves. After that the lifetime samples and solar cells were illuminated at 70 ℃ for 45 h under 800 W/m2 light. The results showed that the lifetime decay rates of the lifetime samples fired by sintering curve 1,curve 2 and curve 3 were 63%,42% and 23%,respectively,and the efficiency decay rates of the multicrystalline silicon PERC solar cells fired by sintering curve 1,curve 2 and curve 3 were 6.46%,3.55% and 2.30%,respectively.Electroluminescence test result of illuminated multicrystalline silicon PERC solar cells depicted the brightness from the sintering curve1 was the smallest,that from the curve 2 is in the middle,and the one from the curve 3 is the largest. The above results demonstrated that the light induced degradation of multicrystalline silicon PERC solar cells could be greatly reduced by adjusting the sintering curve of the furnace,which provided a new approach for suppressing the light induced degradation effect in multicrystalline PERC solar cell.
