Demolishing construction technology of continuous box girder in Xi North canal bridge was introducted, the factors of impact were considered, such as environmental, construction conditions,effect on side hole after middle hole removed, the strength and stiffness of the foundation bearing capacity, Fulcrum strength calculation of floating weight were checked, hull draft and bailey-internal force were analysed, the continuous box girder construction was proposed, and the salty and reliablity of dismantling was guaranteed . Practice shows that programmes were successful. The old bridge was smoothly removed. The valuable demolishing experience was provided for similar old bridges in the future.
