| Abstract: | This paper introduces a kind of Local Area Network(LAN)protocoI suitable for warship environment. This protocol mainly includes the four layers of the ISO/OSI Reference Model, and which is compatible with the IEEE 802,4 LAN standard. The design of the hardware that used the VLSI technique and the software are introduced in details. Meanwhile, the main technique used in the design, such as setting up and maintenance of the logical ring, priority accessing to the network, real time respond, the data buffer structure and management are discribed. |
