Research of Cyanate Ester Resin Modified by Epoxy
Abstract:The dilemma encountered in the development of cyanate ester resin is:it is difficult to get satisfactory properties of cured resin and satisfactory processing characteristics. After much searching, we find that using epoxy resin as modifier can solve the dilemma. The main cured resin properties of components of No.1 of our modified cyanate ester resin are:(1) Tensile strength=87MPa; (2) Flexural strength=135MPa; (3) Impact strength=14.4kJ/m2; (4) T g =228℃. The main cured resin properties of components of No.2 are:(1) Tensile strength=83MPa; (2) Flexural Strength=131MPa; (3) Impact strength=11.6kJ/m2; (4) T g =256℃. It can be seen the properties (1),(2),and (3) are much better than those of cyanate ester resin. The processing characteristics of components of No.1 is:viscosity is less than 1Pa·s after 24h at 60℃. And the modified cyanate ester resin can be solved in some common solvents. The dielectric property and humidity heat resistance of the cured resin are better.
