电光晶体中电场分布对相位调制的影响

摘    要:用有限差分法计算了不同电极宽度下,电光晶体(LiNbO3)内部的电场分布情况,详细分析了电场不均匀性对晶体折射率和光束相位延迟的影响规律.发现选择合适的电极宽度,充分利用晶体中轴附近相对均匀的电场分布,可以避开复杂的边缘效应,同时能够降低畸变率,从而提高调制的精确性和稳定性.

Abstract:In this paper,the electric-field distribution in LiNbO3 with different side electrodes is analyzed by finite difference method.The effects of non-uniformly electric-field distribution on refractive index of the crystal and phase delay of the output light through the LiNbO3crystal are studied in detail.It is concluded that selecting electrode with appropriate width and taking full advantage of the uniform electric field around the symmetric axis of the crystal will avoid some complicated fringe effects,furth...
