对素质教育实践中的几个问题的思考

素质教育作为一种教育思想或教育观念正在影响和推动着我国的教育改革。然而，它在实践中也存在一些问题，问题集中到一点，就是目的性还不十分明确。为此，笔者从五个方面进行了思考：（1）究竟在什么意义下谈素质？（2）为什么在今天特别强调素质和素质教育？（3）素质教育的着眼点和重心是什么？（4）教育思想与教育实践是怎样的关系？（5）当我们强调素质的时候，是否意味着降低了知识的重要性？本文的结论是：我们不是为贯彻素质教育而推进素质教育，不是为改革教育而进行教育改革，我们所做的一切都是为了提高教育质量。

An Analysis on Some Issues about Quality Education

The quality education, as a kind of education thought or education idea, is effecting and pushing forward the education reform in China. However, some problems still exist in the practice of the quality education. The problems are focused on one point that there is not a very clear goal in practicing the quality education. Thus, the author discusses from these issues: (1) What is the exact context when we talk about the quality? (2) Why are the quality and the quality education particularly stressed nowadays? (3) What are the focus and the stress in the quality education? (4) What is the relationship between education thoughts and education practice? (5) Is it to lower the importance of knowledge when we stress the quality? Following the discussion, the author draws the conclusion that we don't promote the quality education mainly on the purpose of carrying out the quality education, and we don't get down on the education reform mainly on the purpose of reforming education. Instead, all that we do should be for the goal of improving the quality of education.
